Do kind things for others
If you want to feel good, doing good is a great place to start. Helping and being kind not only contributes to the happiness of others, it can also help you to feel happier in yourself. When you do kind things it can literally give your brain a boost, activating its reward centres. It can take your mind off your own worries too. 

Giving and kindness also help you feel connected to others which is important for your own wellbeing and contributes to building stronger communities and a happier society for everyone. 

Live life mindfully
Ever felt there must be more to life? Well good news, there can be, as long as you learn to be more mindful and aware.

Being mindful can be a firm foundation for your wellbeing. Practicing mindfulness can reduce stress levels, help you manage your emotions and reactions, tune in better to how to cultivate compassion for yourself and others.  This helps you make better choices, and boost your happiness and to feel calmer.

Everyone can learn to be more mindful and there are lots of ways you can incorporate it into your daily life. It's simple but takes practice. 

Keep learning new things
Being open to new experiences and learning fuels our wellbeing, boosts your confidence and your creativity and can be fulfilling whatever your age. Learning is not just for school but for life, continuing to learn, even later in life, can help you feel good and function well.

Do something new, whether that’s in person in your community, at work or online. Honing in on your skills through a hobby or exploring something completely new. There is always something new you can try or learn!

Be comfortable with who you are
No one is perfect, yet we often expect ourselves to be. When you learn to accept yourself you are likely to be happier and better at learning and growing.

How you feel about yourself can have a big influence on how happy and resilient you are. Accepting that, like all human beings, you have strengths and imperfections, you will make mistakes but don’t dwell on it or beat yourself up about it. Learn and grow and move on. 

If you can learn to accept yourself more you will develop the skills of self-compassion, a better understanding of your strengths. Learning ways to work with or around your weaknesses can all positively impact our happiness.
